Schönburg Castle

On our way back from Brussels and Aachen, my better half and I spent the weekend at Schloss Schönburg, an over 1000 year old castle above the medieval town of Oberwesel in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley.

  Oh no, the weather was terrible and the photo in color looks very pale. When I turned it into b&w I had to add 150% contrast to make it look as it is now.

  If you have the chance, you should spend a weekend there. Food was great – the chef prepared a 4 dish vegan menu for me and a vegetarian for my better half. We had a great view over the Rhine from our windows. It’s the perfect retreat.
